Step-By-Step How To Programming Instructions

  1. Insert Key Into Ignition

    INSERT key into Ignition and TURN the Ignition to ON/ACC (just shy of cranking engine).

  2. Enter Programming Mode – Step 1

    PRESS Vehicle Information button on the Driver Information Center (DIC) until “PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY” is displayed.

  3. Enter Programming Mode – Step 2

    PRESS the SET/RESET Button (Button will have a checkmark) until “REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE” is displayed. Vehicle is now in Programming Mode.

  4. Program Remote

    PRESS and HOLD LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time on the first remote to be programmed for 15 seconds. The vehicle will emit a sound indicating successful programming of the remote.

  5. Program Additional Remotes

    REPEAT Step 4 for any additional remotes to be programmed, including existing ones.

  6. Exit Programming Mode

    TURN Ignition to OFF position and REMOVE key to EXIT Programming Mode.

  7. Test Remotes

    TEST all remotes. Programming is complete.

Programming Notes:

  • Verify the following prior to following these instructions:
    • Your vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, and
    • You have a key fob remote that is compatible with your vehicle.
  • Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle. This procedure will erase all previously programmed remotes. You must program all existing and new remotes that you wish to use on the vehicle at this time.
  • You may clear your keyless entry system memory by entering programming mode as shown in the steps above.
  • For Vehicles with Driver 1 & 2 Memory seats, the first remote programmed will be Driver 1 and the second will be Driver 2.

Step-By-Step How To Programming Instructions

  1. Enter Programming Mode – Step 1

    ENTER the vehicle and CLOSE the Driver’s door.

  2. Enter Programming Mode – Step 2

    INSERT working Transponder Key into Ignition and TURN to the ‘ON’ position (just prior to cranking engine), WAIT 1 second and TURN back to the OFF position to successfully enter Programming Mode.

    REMOVE key from Ignition.

  3. Program Transponder Key

    INSERT NEW key into Ignition and TURN to the ‘ON’ position (just prior to cranking engine).

    The key is now programmed to your vehicle.

  4. Test Transponder Key

    TEST the new Transponder Key. Programming is now complete.

  5. Program Additional Transponder Keys

    To program additional Transponder Keys, simply repeat the procedure.
