  2. Perry says:

Hello Jack, did you ever get an answer for your question? I’m having issues getting new remote key fobs to program to the remote entry. I have one working remote key fob, had one locksmith come to program another and he was only able to get the key to work in the door and ignition. So at least my wife has a key to start and drive our New/Used 2006 van. I ordered two new 6 button key fobs from eBay and when they arrived took them to a different locksmith. He tried all sorts of stuff including resetting the keys in the vehicle memory. Basically erasing all the keys. He then reprogrammed the original key along with the one for my wife with the non working keyless entry. He cut the two new 6 button key fobs and got them programmed to the ignition, however again just like the first locksmith no luck with the remote entry part of the key fobs. Hence why he erased all keys because he was worried we had exceeded the maximum number of keys allowed to be programmed to the vehicle. Still no joy with any of the 3 new key fobs. He then brought out his frequency tester and that’s when we found out the other non working key fobs were not on the correct frequency. I went home after leaving more money for his time, and checked with the seller of the new key fobs and they supposedly were compatible with my vehicle. The locksmith showed me the frequency printed on the back of original key fob and told me to order from Amazon and make sure that the new key fobs were compatible with my original. So that’s what I did. They just arrived and now I’m trying to get ahold of the locksmith to get these hopefully programmed… Good luck and I hope you have already got your problem fixed.
