did you have any luck on programming considering you only have one fob? I have the same problem and trying to see what to do.

“You will need at least two (2) working remotes in order to perform this procedure yourself without the help of a Professional.”

One of my key fobs was recently stolen inside a jacket over the weekend. I only have one key fob and it doesn’t work with my key-less entry. I bought a set of new key fobs but having trouble programming them since I only have one key fob that is currently programmed. Any advice to go about setting this up myself?

  2. Chad says:

What if I’m installing a new ignition switch. Can I program the keys to work with the new ignition switch as well as still have the keyless entry functions?

  3. Kevin says:

I have two key fobs but only one working for my 2010 2500. Can I follow these instructions by using the working one twice then the non-working after?

  4. RC says:

More than likely you are having the same issue I have. The “button” portion is worn out but the programming is done through the ignition only so it should work fine so lang as you have 2 working remotes that physically start the rig

  5. Louis Gallant says:

I have two remotes that start my 2010 1500 Ram Sport and I tried this method, first key 3 – 15 seconds to on, then second key 3 – 15 seconds to on. Never got a chime or the security light to flash.

  6. Johnnie Johnson says:

Dodge 2010 1500 Ram. I have two working key fobs. I go through the process and get the program flashing light. It always says key fob not programmed. I have also changed the battery.

  7. Joe says:

I have two remotes that start my 2010 1500 Ram Sport and I tried this method, first key 3 – 15 seconds to on, then second key 3 – 15 seconds to on. Never got a chime or the security light to flash.

  8. Jessie Teehee says:

2 questions: 1. is it necessary to have the FCC ID and or the part number on the back of the new key fob to be programmed? Mine do not and neither do either of the original fobs that came with the truck; 2. What happens to the 2 working fobs once you go through the memory clearing process and the new fobs do not program correctly or at all?
